  I was born in Sin City (a.k.a. Las Vegas, NV) but was raised in Tucson, AZ.  My decision to come to UC Berkeley, and the MBN program in particular, was based on the following factors…in no particular order. a) The graduate students appear genuinely happy; b) The research being done in the NST department is diverse giving us students many research options; c) The professors are calm yet challenging which I think is a winning combination; d) There are frequent grad student happy hours.  3rd year MBN.
