Where are you from:
I was born in China, lived and studied in Canada for eight years. 

What brought you to UC Berkeley: 
 I am deeply interested in the research conducted in the metabolic biology program, and I have always wondered a life in sunny California. :) UC Berkeley is the dream place for me to pursue my passion for science and enjoy my life. 

Outside of lab/academic studies, I love: 
I like to explore the city, hunt for good restaurants, go on day trips, and hike with friends.
