I'm from:

Maplewood, Minnesota.  I went to college in St. Petersburg, Florida.

What brought me here:

The Nutritional Sciences and Toxicology Program was the perfect fit for my interests in nutritional and metabolic diseases.  I was looking for an interdisciplinary program that would allow me to learn new skills in all types of research areas and I found that at UCB.  The people, the weather, and the local cuisine was a big factor as well!

Outside of lab I love:

Exercising, exploring the city, going to sporting events, cooking, and having a glass of wine with friends.
